Not sustainable - Styrofoam containers for takeout food at restaurants
Styrofoam for takeout food - many restaurants use for takeout?
Not sustainable indeed.. - Once used for food storage these containers are very hard to recycle (if at all). All food must be scraped off and all grease rinsed.. not always possible. Almost every time these takeout containers get tossed away in the garbage. According to some studies Styrofoam takes 500 years to decompose
It's good to see cities going green every year and laws to ban Styrofoam containers is in place across the world.

over 10 years agoIt's still very much here Uma. Either not eat in such places, finish food that is ordered, ask if they can pack in better not best options like al foil or ziplocs or try and remember to carry containers with you!
